Cary: I spent the first 29 years of my life in Oakdale, CA where I was born. I moved to Hornitos in the 1990s where my father and I had been grazing our cattle for about 6 years prior to moving there. At one time, we had a herd of 300 Longhorn cows. We raised the calves for jackpot team roping. I have cowboyed on most of the ranches in the Hornitos area and have helped my neighbors drive herds of cattle up to the Yosemite Park boundaries and back to Hornitos. I also hunt locally and fish in the many lakes in our area. I am very familiar with most of the ranches in this area, and although my expertise is in horse and cattle property, I would be glad to assist in any type of Real Estate transaction. If you haven't spent much time in our little town I encourage you to do so. For 35 years I was a San Joaquin Valley girl before moving to Mariposa ten years ago and would frequently drive up just to have lunch. When the sun didn't shine for days I knew I could always find it in Mariposa. After moving here I quickly found a big difference compared to the valley. No gangs, no graffiti, no traffic or airplane noise. Only the sound of the bell ringing at the Historical Courthouse in town. It is truly like stepping back in time. I've spent most of my life working in an office doing "secretary type" work, but my heart kept telling me I needed more adventure and with my drive and independent spirit I knew that selling Real Estate was for me. My personal interests are pretty simple. I love bike riding, hiking, fishing, sewing and spending time with my husband, kids and grandchildren. In fact my husband Cary and I work together as a team. I like to say it takes TEAM WORK to make the DREAM WORK. We also regularly attend Yosemite Church in Merced. Proudly, my youngest son graduated from Mariposa High in 2006. I will never regret my decision to move to Mariposa and plan on making this my home indefinitely. Come, spend a few days. Walk, eat, visit and TAKE IT ALL IN. I think you will feel the same way I do.
